Hestia Estate Overview

Hestia Estate villa is located in Spartylas, one of the most beautiful and charming villages of Corfu. The villa is in a beautiful, green area, completely private, and has incredible 360-degree views of the coastline, Albania, the Greek mainland, and much of the island itself. The main feature of the villa is the beautiful tower on the edge of the plot, which offers an incredible view as far as the eye can see. Flowering gardens, private terraces, and an infinity pool with a relaxing sundeck are the ingredients for the ideal vacation on Corfu. The house was built from natural and imported Italian stone and is set into the landscape, among olive trees that almost all 150 of them were preserved during the construction of the house. It is ideal for large family gatherings or groups of friends because it has an excellent outdoor kitchen, fully equipped with a barbeque and a wood burning pizza oven, as well as various indoor and outdoor play/entertainment facilities such as a satellite TV, with Filmon and Netflix, Wi-Fi internet connection to keep the children (of all ages!) entertained. The interiors have been tastefully decorated to create a light, relaxed, and cozy atmosphere.

Layout

The central stone-built entrance leads to a lovely plot with olive trees and gardens.

The main kitchen is hand-painted pine and features a double Belfast sink, a large central island, a Rangemaster cooker, an American-style fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave, a blender, a juicer, a toaster, and a kettle.

The lower and tower bedrooms are located away from the main building and are ideal for couples, but not for small children. These bedrooms are accessible via illuminated pathways and steps. Each of them has their own outdoor space.

The circular tower bedroom has an iPod docking station, DVD player, and spectacular views of Albania. Even better, it has its own roof terrace with incredible 360-degree views. (Only adults have access.)

The two ground-floor twin rooms are located in the main building and are ideal for children. (Additional fold-up beds and cots are available and will be set up to accommodate families with babies and young children sharing adult rooms.)

The main bedroom suite takes up the entire first floor and includes a lobby/dressing room, a large en-suite bathroom, and an exterior covered loggia. It has a large private sun terrace with spectacular mountain and coastal views.

The grounds include a magnificent 20 m x 10 m private infinity pool with a walk-in beach style entrance, a small “jetty,” and 160 m2 of timber decked areas on three different levels.

There are eight teak sun beds with cushions, four deck chairs, two steamers, and a variety of other seating options for couples, with tables in the shade or in the sun.

The Neighborhood

Spartilas is a small picturesque medieval village with narrow streets, surrounded by a beautiful landscape with many waters. It is located on the south side of Pantokrator, in the northern part of the island. The view from the church of Agios Arsenios is inspiring, as it is located on the highest point of the village. Just before arriving at Spartilas Village, it is worth stopping at the big bend to enjoy the unique view. In front of you the eastern Middle Corfu is spreading, from Dasia and the island of Gerekou to the town of Corfu and the islet of Vidos. Visiting the village, you will find that apart from the amazing views and the small narrow paths and passages, the traditional architecture of the houses is preserved with the old marble staircases and arched gates that lead you to verdant gardens. In Spartilas, there are small shops, taverns, and cafes that meet the daily needs of both locals and tourists. The centre of Corfu Town is 20 kilometres away, and the peak of Pantokrator mountain is 11.4 kilometres away. Along the way, you can find the picturesque villages of Strynilas and Petalia.

Young people are drawn to the village because the long beach and clubs offer the best nighttime entertainment. The imposing Pantokrator mountain rises behind the village, while the Albanian mountains stand directly on the opposite. Simultaneously, the village area away from the coastal road and close to the picturesque harbour is ideal for peaceful and family vacations.

The beach of Ipsos, with its palm trees along it and clear waters that gradually deepen, is also a good choice for families. Its main feature is the small pebbles with some sand spots, and along its one-kilometer length, you will be able to find facilities as well as activities such as water sports and boat rentals. A small graphical harbour is located at the end of the beach.
